Time Frame: As we do not have a time reference for how much time has elapsed since your surgery and in providing an answer, it is not uncommon for patients to have some small traces of blood mixed in the saliva a week after surgery. If adequate oral hygiene was not maintained over the surgical sites, traces of blood may be present even longer.
