I took zyrtec-d almost 12 hours ago thinking it's my allergies, but my nose won't quit & now my throat is scratchy. can i try theraflu cold & flu now?

Yes: At 12 hours, you would be due for another dose anyway, and it sounds like the Zyrtec-D did not do you any good. Go for a different product (Theraflu sounds like a fine choice). Understand, though, the if there is a decongestant in the product (look at the active ingredients list), it may keep you awake if you're taking it around bedtime.
