Root Canal Therapy: Good day; The tooth appears to require treatment. Years ago especially in Europe a Sargenti method was used to mummify nerve's of teeth. However, present day root canal therapy is given to patients in a traditional manner taught by Endodontic Departments of American Dental Schools. The results are very effective and durable. Be sure treatment is given to in that manner.

Finish the rtc: If you don't feel comfortable with your current dentist, choose another provider or an endodontist. Perhaps, the dentist placed a formacresol pellet in the access of the tooth. It is better to clean out all canals at this juncture, if it has already been a month, to make sure that your teeth is able to be saved.
