Where in the back?: Female, not fair but still near 40 suggests gall bladder problems if it is on the right side under the shoulder blade. Should be aggravated by fatty foods and the cabbage group of veggies. In the middle-could be a penetrating ulcer. If both sides or one side at belt line-could be kidney. And on and on. Need more specifics,
