A member asked:

I'm 27yrs old and i have sharp stabbing pain in my left knee cap the pain gets worse every day now the pain is constant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maltracking: The knee cap (patella) rides in a channel at the bottom of the femur ( patellar femoral groove) while being held in place by the patellar tendon. Sometimes it will slip and ride along one side of the groove, lose cartilage, and become painful. There are surgeries to correct this, and braces that can stabilize. See your orthopedist for an eval.
