Every now and then after walking a little, i get the worst sharp stabbing pain in my left knee. i can't sleep, im in so much pain. growing pains?

Knee pain: If no history of knee injury, i would recommend having it looked at, to get x-rayed & pain relief until seen by an orthopedic specialist.

Knee pain: Growing pains unlikely at age 18. Likely patellofemoral syndrome or meniscal issue. Check with orthopedic surgeon.
