A member asked:

I have had inflamed ear canals since november. just had swab results back to say i have e coli, what could of caused this?

E Coli in ear canals: E Coli is the most common bacteria found in the GI tract, i.e. in feces. So, somehow you got that in your ears, perhaps from contaminated water. Maybe from a bathtub, or swimming in untreated water. Check your water supply for contamination. But the good news is it should be easily treatable with prescription antibiotic drops. See your doctor.
