Lymph nodes: The jugulodigastric nodes drain from the tonsils into the neck, so it is common for them to be enlarged with chronic tonsillitis. It may take 4-6 months for them to come down in size. They do not change quickly. You should make sure your ENT is aware of this so she/he can follow you along to make sure they normalize over time or do further evaluation as needed.
