If for 16 days an elderly pt has a high wbc count & high crp & the temp is mainly below 36c, is it best to wait and see? if not, what should be done?

High WBC & CRP: can indicate an infection. It can also indicate an inflammatory process with or without an infection. Has there been any other symptoms? Any fevers at all? Have antibiotics been prescribed? What other lab tests have been performed? Maybe a few more details and the diagnosis and treatment can be pinpointed!
