Exercise: You have a cholesterol over 200. Hdl 59. Your doctor has a lipid agent for you. Make sure you are doing what you need to do. 40 minutes of exercise 3 times a week. Sleeping 8 hours a day. Minimizing stress. Take care of the whole body and spirit. Hope this helps.

Ok: It seems like a bit overkill. The dietary supplement "red yeast rice" is available without prescription. It contains phytosterols in combination with ~10mg of naturally occurring statins. It generally lowers total cholesterol from 20-30 points. I would try that first (1200mg twice daily) for 6-8 weeks, then recheck your cholesterol.
