A member asked:

Doc precribed lipitor (atorvastatin) 20mg for my "bit too high" cholesterol over the last 3 yrs(at least).why're so many (-)ve reviews about the med?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Wrong: Unless you have diabetes, established heart or vascular disease, or a familial syndrome wih extremely elevated cholesterol, a 28 year old should not be on drug therapy for their cholesterol. Lipitor (atorvastatin) is an excellent medicine, but like all medicines, it's not right for everybody.
