Hi my husband noticed a pimple like bump on his thumb and told that he has a staph infection. he's not sure if it is that or a bug bite or mrsa?

Could be either/both: Staph infections arise in various wounds and bug bites can be the primary event that becomes secondarily infected.If there was any puss expressed from the site, it is evidence of an infection.Most studies show the majority of these today are MRSA.
