The back of my teeth are very yellow, and the yellow is spreading to the front lower part of my teeth, also causing some swelling in the bottom gums.

Need a cleaning?: Sounds like the yellow may be calculus (tartar) stuck on the tongue side of your teeth. Tartar can build in size, and contributes to bleeding gums. A cleaning (or periodontal treatment if bone loss) is indicated.

Calculus: You may have hard calcified accretions on your teeth called calculus or tarter. If so the deposits can cause permanent gum recession and eventually tooth loss. Sounds like you are very overdue for an examination and cleaning. Please schedule an appointment with your Dentist as soon as possible for an examination and cleaning. Also ask for review of your oral hygiene practices.
