No: A high-protein diet is unlikely to produce more than trace proteinuria, if any. If it 1+ or more in your usual state of health, get checked first for orthostatic proteinuria -- first-voided morning urine after emptying your bladder before bedtime is without protein. Several percent of folks have proteinuria just from standing up. Otherwise, a workup's in order.
