Inhomogeneity is typical of thyroid inflammation - most commonly due to Hashimoto's thyroiditis - which would be the diagnosis if your thyroid peroxidase antibody is elevated. Most important is that they found no nodules. Also of course should monitor thyroid function. Glad to discuss.
