TENS is real: A TENS unit 'closes the gate'. It helps block pain with your body's own natural mechanisms. If you overuse it, the effect can lessen. Usual recommendations are Usually for 30-60 minutes up to 4 times daily. Sciatica isn't only from pressure on the sciatic nerve in the back, despite what many docs think. Make sure you get an eval by a physiatrist or a really good Manual Physical Therapist.
