Sciatic nerve pain: Take a common sense approach. If you perform an activity that makes the pain worse such as house cleaning or running then avoid that activity. Low impact activities like a stationary bike or exercises that strengthen your core back and stomach muscles will reduce your pain. Apply ice to your back afterward to reduce inflammation.
