A member asked:

What will happen when the roots of sciatic nerves are cut?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sciatic transection: If they are all cut, then that leg will not work much and you will not be able to walk on that leg. If only one of the contributing roots are cut, then the deficit will be partial (such as perhaps the foot will not lift, depending on the root).
