Hearing loss: What did you say? Could you say it again? I couldn't hear you! Sorry, I couldn't resist! In all seriousness, you'll notice hearing loss when you can't understand spoken word, find yourself straining to carry on conversation, missing out on key parts of movie, radio & other entertainment. Or your partner/friend/family might repeatedly tell you to turn that darn thing down. Start w/your Family Doc.

My mom (72) just had blood work done by an ent to look at reasons for hearing loss. All blood work, including CRP, was normal except ESR was 54. She had fluid in her ear a few weeks. Feels healthy. Could this ESR a sign of something bad like cancer?

Recent +ANA, speckled. Could these recent signs be connected: periodic joint pain, elevated breast gland(lump); hearing loss. 3 drs aren't connected.
