Possible: Uncontrolled blood is one of the cause of heart failure (failing heart). Symptoms of heart failure could be chest tightness, but usually it is shortness of breath. I would make sure your blood pressure is well controlled and if not work with your doctor to add more medications. It would be worthwhile to get checked by your physician and get examination and may be echocardiogram.

Don't know: At 36 years i doubt your heart is failing. But severe uncontrolled BP can give you chest pain and sob. You need to see a physician asap. A good history and physical exam have to be done asap. Test like ekg, 2d echocardiogram need to be done. If the BP is to high like more than 200/100 with above symptoms a er visit recommended asap. A heart attack have to be r/o.
