I have ibs - doc said not to take ibuprofen for some reason. have been getting headaches daily last 3 weeks.bought ibuprofen & taken recently. smart?

OK: I do not feel that a very occasion ibuprofen would be of any great harm to your bowel.

IBS & Ibuprofen.: While I can't see that there's a direct negative impact of Ibuprofen on IBS, I can't disagree with your physician if he/she had a specific reason for you to not take Ibuprofen. Do you have any upper GI pathology, like an ulcer or gastritis (I see that you are taking Pantoprazole)?

Rebound headaches: If you use ibuprofen more than 10 times a month it can make your headaches more frequent, what we call "rebound headaches" or "medication overuse headaches."
