A member asked:

I've heard ibs individuals shouldn't tak ibuprofen. why? i just got a migraine with ibs. what do i take? =(

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Acetaminophen: Anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen are very irritating to the gastrointestinal tract. In some patients with IBS these medications will cause a flare up of abdominal pain and cramping. Acetaminophen is much easier on the stomach and intestines, though not great for migraines. You could also talk to your doctor about prescription migraine medications.
