Too much diarrhea: This degree of side-effect from an antibiotic is too much. You should definitely contact the doctor who prescribed the antibiotic and let them know. The benefits of antibiotics must be weighed against the risks - and at this stage I'm concerned about the side-effects. Not sure if your child has been in or out of a hospital recently but this must be evaluated promptly. (I'm concerned about C. diff)

Not uncommon to have: loose stools on cefdinir or any antibiotic, but 10 loose stools and not feeling well is not common after 6 days. i would recommend you speak to his doctor about this and have him examined. Meanwhile you can try giving him yogurt and/or a probiotic, which may help somewhat.
