Strep Throat: 29 year old lady with a concern about strep throat after sharing coffee with a girlfriend with strep throat. There is a good chance that you will develop strep throat and if you do it will develop relatively quickly. Please wait and if you start to develop symptoms of a sore throat then visit a physician ASAP for a rapid strep test to confirm the diagnosis prior to antibiotic therapy. Good luck
