A few ideas: It might be genetic. Age contributes, too. Also, do you watch your sodium? Many healthy foods are high in sodium. Check labels. Max of 2000mg a day. Practice belly breathing can sometimes lower your blood pressure. Make sure you get enough sleep and not stressed out. In addition, you should ask your doctor to check secondary causes of hypertension, such as thyroid or renal problems.
