Depends on the test: For HIV, ithe best test is a "4th generation" test for both HIV antigen and antibody, also called "duo" or "combo" test. It is conclusive any time 4 weeks or more after the last possible exposure. For an antibody-only lab test, 6-8 weeks usually is conclusive. The home self test on oral fluids is 3 months. Hepatitis testing usually not needed after any single exposure; if needed, it's 4-8 weeks.
