NO: B"sd your fasting blood sugar is borderline elevated. It is very important to now check the sugar after eating. Also the "3 month average" blood sugar test, HgbA1c, should be done. Certainly commend you on your proactive stance. If both parents have DM2, your lifetime risk about 90%. However, age of onset and severity can be greatly altered by lifestyle and medication.
