Possibly: There is concern that taking both the Celexa and the Levaquin (levofloxacin) could affect the heart and cause a rhythm problem but it is rare and many people have taken the 2 drugs without a problem. But there is a possibility of the risk. Keep track of your pulse and the heart rhythm and notify someone if any problem should occur. I hope this helps some. You could ask the Dr for a different antibiotic.

You may take it: It is true that Levaquin (levofloxacin) and Celexa have an interaction that affects electrical conduction in the heart. However, the interaction is not likely to affect someone who is young and otherwise healthy. Assuming that your doctor has monitored your labs recently and is fully aware of your health history (and that it is not complicated), I am much more inclined to agree with your doctor.
