Some points: well...you've got more germs in your mouth than are in the scotch. Does anyone NOT drink beer and scotch under these circumstances? Isn't everything mostly healed up without bleeding by the third day? Hard sharp edged foods like walnuts I could see maybe being a problem but the alcohol isn't intrinsically bad with tooth extraction

Wait at least 72 h: because alcohol might interfere with the healing process. After 72 hours you should be able to consume alcohol responsibly in moderation.
