Pulmonary fxn test: Pulmonary function test using spirometry is used to diagnosis pulmonary conditions such as asthma & COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Accurate diagnosis depends upon your best effort as well as good technique as monitored by administrator. Best time to request re-test is at time of procedure if you're not convinced. Consider discussing results w/ordering doc before progressing forward.

Yes: Not sure how the nurse would have done the test wrong, but if he or she did then this sounds entirely reasonable. Obviously a test done the wrong way will cause misleading results and your doctors should have accurate information to assess your health.
