If the nurse did a spirometer test wrong, is it ok to ask for them to retest before i have a stress test done?

Yes: Not sure how the nurse would have done the test wrong, but if he or she did then this sounds entirely reasonable. Obviously a test done the wrong way will cause misleading results and your doctors should have accurate information to assess your health.
