SHOULDER INJURY: Try the Dugas Test - While seated, place hand of injured arm on opposite shoulder and then try to touch elbow to chest. Pain and/or inablility to perform maneuver indicates possible dislocation. This does not mean no ligament or tendon injury, but makes dislocation less likely. Best bet, if unsure, urgent care or emergency department visit for hands on exam/possible x-rays. Good luck!
