Depends: Gonorreah is treated with a single dose of antibiotics, usually an intramuscular injection of ceftriaxone (a penicillin derivative). Chlamydia takes longer to kill, but can is often treated with a single dose of azithromycin for convenience, which is an antibiotic that stays in the system for a long period of time
