I have a straight cervical curve in my neck and i have constant pain in the back doctor advised lagaflex (carisoprodol). i'm worried about the side effects, should i take it or not and what else can i do to treat this condition? thanks

Not a good first med: Carisoprodol often helps with back or neck pain, but it is habit forming. And it's like a band-aid. "straight curve" usually means chronic muscle tension. Presumably your doc ruled out dangerous diseases. If you want to get at the root, see a manual trained physical therapist. They will work on alignment and muscle condition. And do active stretching and strengthening according to instruction
