See a Different Doc: If you don't want pain meds, see a fellowship trained pain/spine specialist that avoids opiates if possible. There are many options for your pain issues, so they may be able to help. The prescription you've been written is a recipe for disaster!

BAD COMBO: There's no reason for that kind of prescription. The md should follow the lead of the patient as to what drug and how much should be prescribed. We all have differing thresholds of pain and genetically differ in how we metabolize these meds. Seek an md with a good ear for listening and a sympathetic heart.
