While we usually: associate fever with infection, there are other causes. A thorough history and physical might pick up important clues to guide your doctor in a a specific direction. Screening tests for common causes of fever & specific tests based on history & physical exam findings should be done. Be honest with your doctor about any possible exposures to STD's or drug use. Don't give up!
