Menopause: 50 y/o female says I'm usually hot all the time. recently my hands are freezing but my cheeks are red/hot. What can be causing this? Sounds like Age Appropriate Menopause. This is usually due to the decreasing production of the female hormones estrogen & progesterone. Cheeks turning red/ hot may be part of what is called Hot Flashes, a common complaint in menopausal transition.
