Mgt: Your smoking and family histories will be important factors in determining the next step. I would advise following your CT scan if you are low risk for malignancy, having a TB skin test and evaluation for possible immune disease as indicated.

Not connected: If your thyroid replacement therapy is appropriate your frequent uri's shouldn't be related. The lung nodule isn't a factor either. Perhaps your environment is too hot and dry in the winter which lowers your resistance. Take vitamin C daily, get plenty of rest and drink adequate fluids. Try to avoid places and people who have active respiratory viral infections although this is difficult.
