Never smoke: You should stop smoking if you have not already done that. COPD is chronic condition and can be managed and controlled with medicines. Key is smoking cessation. After smoking cessation its relatively easier to control COPD and your risk of Lung Cancer development keeps going down each year after. Make sure you truly have COPD by getting Pulmonary Funtion Test which is essential to make diagnosis.
