A member asked:

I have an ulcer now i have dark stools and bleeding. stomach pain too. could the ulcer be bleeding? should i be concerned

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Patients with bleeding from a peptic ulcer may present with abdominal pain, nausea, red blood or coffee-ground vomit, or black, tarry stool. The symptoms described are concerning and you should urgently be evaluated by a physician. Stop all NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Advil, (ibuprofen) etc) and Aspirin use.
