A member asked:

Had stomach ulcer 6 or more months ago, would drinking soda now be risky? can soda cause ulcers to perforate/bleed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not risky: We know that most ulcers are not caused by door or stomach acid, but by a bacteria which leads to gastritis. Soda won't cause ulcers. I suggest you moderate your intake, of course. You can have too much of a good thing. I am assuming you're following up with your doctors. If not, do so. Good luck.
