Most children of: his age get frequent colds and viral illnesses, especially when they attend day care. This should not cause him to have any problems when he is older. In fact, he may develop immunity to many viruses and not get as many illnesses when he is a little older.

Common: Studies have shown most toddlers develop 5-7 respiratory and 3 diarrheal illnesses a year in a day care setting. Most drop their frequency by about half when they become school age.The home bound child has fewer early illnesses but more at school entry.Kids develop their immune system over time and it is often frustrating.
