Most children of: his age get frequent colds and viral illnesses, especially when they attend day care. This should not cause him to have any problems when he is older. In fact, he may develop immunity to many viruses and not get as many illnesses when he is a little older.

Mgt: It is quite common for toddlers in daycare to have a number of colds during the year. His immune system is developing. If he has had a prolonged or serious infection, a pattern of infections affecting multiple systems such as the skin and lungs, an immune workup may be indicated.
