My 32 year old son is on day 3 of sneezing, runny nose & headache, and now a fever of 100.0, is this cold or flu, should he be seen for antibiotics?

URI : At this point he most likely is in day 3 of a viral upper respiratory tract infection that would be unaffected by antibiotics. These run their course in several days, but if fever runs higher, if cough,chills,sweats develop, a physicians examination and antibiotics would then be indicated. For now, resting,good fluid intake and Tylenol should help.
