Most flashes: and floaters (moving spots in your field of vision) are caused by changes in the gel-like fluid that fills the inside of your eye. Flashes may occur when the gel tugs or pulls on your retina. While this may be benign, it is considered a potential sign of retinal detachment..when the retina pulls away from the tissues underneath it. I would go to ER or see your Ophthalmologist ASAP. Good wishes:)
