FLANK-LY SPEAKING: Certainly a stone would be a consideration. Symptoms may also represent the progression of your urinary tract infection; a condition called pyelonephritis or in layman's terms a "kidney infection". If the symptoms have resolved, continue your UTI medication as prescribed. If the symptoms return or worsen, follow up with the Doctor who initiated your treatment.

Could be stone passe: Flank pain is the classic history for a kidney stone. The fact that it suddenly stopped is fine. Maybe it passed spontaneously. Great for you! Get a U/A.
