CT colonography : CT: colonography is performed using a different protocol than a CT scan of the abdomen, designed to give better views of the inside of the colon. Having said that, there are still a significant number of false positives and negatives associated with CT colonography. If there are questions, a colonoscopy is likely better. Good luck.

More specific.: The CT colonography is more specific for the inside of the large intestinal tract. It mimics an actual colonoscopy via computer rendering of the CT pictures.
