No: is the short answer. for virtual colonoscopy, you need to take the prep like for regular colonoscopy - and they inflate the colon with air. images are then re-constructed to provide a virtual view of the inside of the colon. CT even with contrast, is not a good test for the lumen of the bowels - but is good for cross-sectional cuts, obviously.
