Gastroenterologist: I assume that a gastroenterologist is evaluating you. Sludge in the gall bladder may cause RUQ discomfort and may not be seen on ultrasound. Taking prilosec or nexium (esomeprazole) should help your reflux. In the meantime follow a low fat, bland diet, avoid caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. Further imaging studies like ct scan, mri or endoscopy with ercp, for example, may be recommended by the gastroenterologist.
