I know ovulation varies w irregular periods, but then does a period always follow 14 days after? i think then i would be 16 days after and no period.

Pregnancy test: If a woman is in doubt, if and when she could have conceived, a urine pregnancy test is the quickest way to get an answer. Urine pregnancy tests are positive as early as a week after having conceived. If the test is negative, repeat after a few days; is the test is still negative 2 weeks after conception, pregnancy is virtually unlikely.

14 days BEFORE...: As a general rule, ovulation occurs 14 days BEFORE your next period. However, if you are having very irregular periods, you may not be ovulating at all. If you want to know for sure, see your Ob/Gyn or do a home ovulation test and find out. Best wishes!
