Cycle questions: Basically you ovulate 14 days before the first day of your next period which is when the egg comes out of the ovary. If you do not get pregnant then the lining of the uterus sloughs and you get your period If you conceive your period does not come and you are pregnant. If your periods are irregular you ovulate at different intervals. I hope this helped
