Hard lump: Brooklynn, Not knowing your history, there is a concern that these could be swollen lymph nodes versus soft tissue mass. I typically recommend patients to undergo an ultrasound and will ask for aspiration or FNA at that time to help further diagnose unless it is clearly a lipoma or sebaceous cyst. Ask for a referral to a general surgeon if your MD is not comfortable.
